It is spiritual light and true worship that exposes and destroys spiritual darkness and the deception of false worship. And true spiritual light and true worship is what Jesus’ Revelation message is all about! The Revelation message also is the “vengeance” or “revenge” of God against those (professing Christianity or otherwise) who have persecuted and falsely accused and condemned the true Church of God, the true Christians (see Rev 18). This vengeance was also prophesied in the Psalms as happening in a “sevenfold manner”

“Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name’s sake. Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed. Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die; And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord. So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.” (Psalms 79:9-13)

So with that somewhat long introduction to the second chapter of Revelations (this post and the two previous ones), we next start to read about the 7 churches of Asia, laying out the battlefield of the 7 days of the Gospel day, and the vengeance of God against false Christianity and all false worship. Note: within each message to the churches of Asia is a prophesy or warning of what will come next - the consequence of which is described in the next “church age” message. Please understand, God first holds the Church accountable to his message, so it is appropriate that the Revelation of Jesus Christ should be addressed first to those who profess to be part of the Church.

And so, in our next post we start with Revelations the 2nd chapter and the first verse: “to the church of Ephesus write…”

“By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.” (Heb 11:30)

Before the Israelites could conquer the promised land, they had to pull down and totally defeat the stronghold of that land: Jericho. The plan to defeat Jericho was a seven day plan laid out by Almighty God himself. Each day the whole Israelite army was to march around the City of Jericho with the priests sounding the seven trumpets. On the seventh day they were to march around seven times in one day, again, with the seven priests sounding the seven trumpets. After the last (seventh) time around (on the seventh day) the priests were to give a long and loud blast of the trumpets, and the whole army was to shout against the walls of the City and then the walls would come tumbling down. Then the army was to go forth and totally destroy the City. (see Joshua 6:1-21)

In parallel with the battle plan against Jericho, the seven Churches of Asia lay out the foundation of the battle plan against today’s spiritual stronghold city (spiritual Babylon - see Rev 17 - 18 ). The seven Churches of Asia can also be seen as dividing the Gospel day into seven periods, or days. Like how the army of the Israelites marched around the City of Jericho once each day and sounded the trumpets each time: so when the message of the seven seals was, and is sounded out by a true messenger of God, it reveals what happened in the hearts of men and women and what was causing that heart condition each day of the Gospel day (see Rev the 6th chapter.) Just as the army of Israel marched around Jericho seven times in one day (on the seventh day), so the seven trumpets are sounded out by the seven trumpet angels in the seventh seal/day (see Rev the 8th chapter.) Note: they are the same warnings and judgments of the previous days, but fully poured out in one day.

“But why did God have it done this way?” one might ask. Because God often uses examples of past Bible history and patterns to help us to understand his infinite wisdom and plan. (see I Cor 10:11, I Tim 1:16, Heb 9:5 and 9:23) The Revelation message reveals a battle going on according to the battle plan of Almighty God. A spiritual battle to pull down and destroy a spiritual stronghold in the hearts of men and women: the spiritual City of Babylon (see Rev 17 & 18 ).

After the Israelites: marched seven times around Jericho on the seventh day, then sounded a long trumpet blast, which was followed by the people joining in with shouting against the City of Jericho, then the walls fell and the City became completely exposed, so it could be destroyed. So today when the 7th trumpet angel sounds (see Rev 11:15) there follows a long sounding of the trumpet message, spanning from Rev 12 thru Rev 14, which is followed by 7 vials of the wrath/judgment of God being poured out (shouted out) against the spiritual City (in Rev 16), completely exposing spiritual Babylon (in Rev 17). Then this spiritual stronghold on the hearts and minds of people is destroyed by the army of the Lord (in Rev 18-19.)

Don’t forget! We are talking about a spiritual battle here, not a physical, carnal one. God’s people have never taken up physical swords to kill people, and never will!

“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)” (2 Corinthians 10:3-4)

The seven Churches of Asia mentioned in Revelations 1- 3 (like the Epistles to the various Churches located in: Rome, Corinth, Galatia, Ephesus, etc.) were actual congregations of the Church of God at that time. But, like the Epistles, the message to the seven Churches was also intended for many others to hear, understand, and heed. Consequently, we realize that the seven congregations have a greater meaning than a certain people in a certain locality, but that they represent spiritual conditions that have existed amongst God’s people at different times throughout history, and even today - very similar to how the rest of the Epistles relate to the Church throughout history and today.

There are definite parallels between the seven Congregations/Churches of Asia, the seven Seals, the seven Trumpets and the seven Plagues. The spiritual conditions that these reveal actually all spiritually existed early in Christianity, and existed in some form throughout history since. But additionally, the seven Congregations/Churches of Asia also clearly describe predominate spiritual conditions that particularly affected the Church as a whole during certain periods of history, or periods of the Gospel day.

The dividing of history into 7 days of the Gospel day agrees with scripture:

“Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of their wound.” (Isaiah 30:26)

Light allows you to see things that otherwise would be shadowed or obscured in darkness. Spiritual light is that that provides understanding concerning Gospel truths and spiritual conditions that exist hidden within the hearts of men and women. The moon represents the Old Testament Law, or the “shadow of good things to come” (Heb 10:1), because the moon has no light of itself, but only by reflecting the light of the sun can it provide obscure clarity or understanding in the night. But the sun is very bright and clearly shows the full image and color of all things. Jesus is that “Sun of righteousness” (Malachi 4:2) whose “countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength” (See: “Jesus the Bright and Shining Light, the Sun of Righteousness“). The light of seven days is the truth and understanding that comes from Jesus’ revelation message to reveal what has gone on in the hearts of men during the Gospel day. Consequently the Gospel day is divided up into seven periods, or days, first designated by the seven Churches of Asia. The Gospel day started when Jesus first was born on earth and started his Church. The Gospel day will end when Jesus returns for the last time to destroy the earth and set up the final judgement.

“The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” (Revelations 1:20)

The ministry in the right hand of control of Jesus are an annointed ministry - set apart by the sanctifying blood of Jesus and the annointing of the Holy Ghost. In the Old Testament the right hand of the High Priest (who then was Aaron and his sons after him) was annointed with the blood of the sacrifice of consecration. Today our spiritual High Priest is Jesus, and he has the blood of the sacrifice also in his right hand. Today, Jesus is also the lamb that was sacrificed for us, so it is his blood (in his own right hand) that is also on the door of the true ministry’s heart. They are blood washed servants of the Lord, that is why they are in his right hand of control.

“And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram. And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron’s right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.” (Lev 8:22-23)

The ministry that is in Jesus’ hand will guide the people right so they need not fall into sin and the divisions of so-called “Christian” religion:

“Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself. So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name. Turn us again, O LORD God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.” (Psalm 80:17-19)

It takes Jesus to keep the ministry in a good way and they must stay in his right hand of control to stay right:

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10) (see also Psalm 139:10)

“My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.” ( Psalm 63:8 )

“According to thy name, O God, so is thy praise unto the ends of the earth: thy right hand is full of righteousness.” (Psalm 48:10)

It is a matter of where the heart of the ministry is at. A true ministry’s heart and love for Jesus is a carefully kept treasure, but a false ministry will not be careful about where their heart and love goes:

“Dead flies cause the ointment of the apothecary to send forth a stinking savour: so doth a little folly him that is in reputation for wisdom and honor. A wise man’s heart is at his right hand; but a fool’s heart at his left.” (Eccl 10:1-2)

“…and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches.” As stated earlier, the Church is the light of the world that shows people the right way to worship God. The Church gets its light from Jesus being in their midst.

And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man…” (Revelations 1:13)

If the candlestick of the Church is taken away, people get easily confused about how to worship God - and this is exactly what has happened throughout history when the true light of Jesus was no longer amongst those claiming to be the Church.

“Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;” (Revelations 1:19)

Jesus put his right hand on John to perform the work of writing what he would see and hear, and to deliver it to the Church: the revelation of Jesus Christ himself! - and it is still being delivered to the Church today. The writer of Psalms 45 also had a portion of Jesus revealed to him, even way back in the Old Testament times:

“My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer. Thou art fairer than the children of men: grace is poured into thy lips: therefore God hath blessed thee for ever. Gird thy sword upon thy thigh, O most mighty, with thy glory and thy majesty. And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things. Thine arrows are sharp in the heart of the king’s enemies; whereby the people fall under thee. Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: the sceptre of thy kingdom is a right sceptre. Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” (Psalms 45:1-7)

The book of Revelations was originally written by John around AD 90 and Jesus said that some of what John would see would be spiritual conditions that actually were in existence at that time; others that would be after. Since AD 90 almost all of those things that would be “hereafter” have already happened, and spiritually still exist today. Consequently, the Revelation message needs to be proclaimed today more than ever to reveal a multitude of spiritual conditions that have affected people throughout history, and still very much today.

The question is “how much of the Revelation message have you been able to see and receive?” (See page: “Understanding Revelations“) John was a humble and obedient servant that was still worshiping and obeying Jesus. He received all the Revelation. Can we do the same? Yes, if we will take the humble and obedient route that John took, and worship Jesus.

“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.” ( Revelations 1:18 )

Jesus overcame all sin and death by his resurrection: “behold, I am alive for evermore.” Consequently he has complete and full authority over hell: who will go there, and who will be saved from having to go there. Later in Revelations the second and final death is described where the soul is lost forever in hell.

And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” ( Revelations 21:6-8 )

But through Jesus Christ’s victory over both hell and death, we can have mercy to be saved from the power of sin and hell, and the final death of eternal torment. Additionally, Jesus is the one given all power in heaven and earth by the Father, for the Father has committed all judgement to the Son:

“For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son: That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live. For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself; And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man. Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” ( John 5:22-29 )

And Jesus can, and does, give the keys to the kingdom (the Word of God) to his ministry to deliver to the people:

“And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” ( Matt 16:19 )

To those who reject the Word of God, it becomes to them as the keys of hell and of death because their rejection of the opportunity to serve God in this life closes their opportunity of making heaven. When Jesus opens the opportunity to heaven with the keys of the Word of God, no man can close off that opportunity for a soul to be saved. But after too many times of rejecting the opportunity, when Jesus closes the door, the opportunity is gone, no man can reopen that opportunity.

  • “And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.” ( Isaiah 22:22 )
  • “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” ( Rev 3:7-8 )

“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:” (Revelations 1:17)

The apostle John had seen Jesus when he was on earth as a human many times, but this time was much like the time when he saw him transfigured on the mount (see Matt 17:1-8 and the previous post: “Jesus the Bright and Shining Light, the Sun of Righteousness“) This time again he was seeing him as he truly is: The Almighty creator of heaven and earth, the King of kings and Lord of lords. This true vision and understanding caused him to see his meager little existence before God and to quickly fall before him, even though he was an apostle of the Lord.

Notice what hand Jesus put on John - his right hand - the same one that has control of the true ministry (see also: “Jesus the Bright and Shining Light, the Sun of Righteousness“) Jesus was placing his right hand on John to show his approval for the one he had chosen to write and send the Revelation message to the Church. This also shows us that the only ones that Jesus puts his right hand on are the ones who see themselves as nothing before Jesus and that have a humble attitude that Jesus can use for honoring him and not themselves.

To the humble and obedient he says “Fear not; I am the first and the last.” But to those who are religiously proud, or who still chase after sinful lusts, his words are: “Fear; for I am the first and the last!” Nothing really matters except how you look to Jesus, and how you present yourself before him!

“And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.” (Revelations 1:16)

The seven stars represent the ministry responsible for delivering Christ’s revelation message to the seven churches; as plainly stated by Christ himself a few verses later in verse 20. A star represents an angel/messenger, the minister or pastor of the church. This is why in verse 20 Jesus states “the stars are the angels of the seven churches”. When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, it was a star that led the wise men to Jesus (Matt 2:1-10) and so a true ministry will also do the same - they will lead wise men and women to Jesus. In Daniel 12:3 we read: “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” Notice also the seven stars, or Jesus’ true ministry, are in his right hand. They stay in his control and they only do his purpose.

The sharp twoedged sword coming out of his mouth represents the Word of God that proceeds from Jesus’ mouth:

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Heb 4:12)

Finally it states “his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.” As already stated in the post just previous to this one titled: “Jesus’ Voice as the Sound of Many Waters” - this is how Daniel saw Jesus in Dan 10:6, and how the Apostles saw him when he was transfigured on the mount in Matt 17:1-8:

“And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light. And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him. Then answered Peter, and said unto Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if thou wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias. While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him. And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid. And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid. And when they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no man, save Jesus only.”

And this also was the blinding light that the Apostle Paul saw when he was converted on the road to Damascus:

“I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me. And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” (Acts 26:13-18 and see also Acts 9:1-9)

Each time one of these saw Jesus as he really is, they ended up falling on their faces before him. And this is exactly what happens to John in the next verse in Revelations 1:17. For Jesus is the “Sun of righteousness” Malachi 4:2 and he is the light that no man can approach unto:

“I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; That thou keep this commandment without spot, unrebukable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ: Which in his times he shall shew, who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.” (I Timothy 6:13-16)

If we ever get a true revelation of who Jesus really is, we also will quickly sober up and turn from sin and quit being just a “so called” Christian. We’ll sincerely fall before him to repent of all sin for good and serve him faithfully as a humble servant of the Lord.

“And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.” (Revelations 1:15)

Nobody tells Jesus where he can or can’t go. He has victory over all things. His feet step where ever he wants. It is best to submit to him now because his feet burn like a furness, and God is putting everything under his feet.

“The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?” (Matt 24:44)

In Eph 1:20-23 we see that God has placed Jesus as the undesputed King over all things and placed all under his feet:

“Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”

This description of Jesus described here (and in previous posts on Revelation 1:13-14 see: “Jesus is the Light of the Seven Candlesticks and Our High Priest” and “Nothing is Hid From the Eyes as a ‘Flame of Fire’“) is the same that the Prophet Daniel saw of Jesus in his vision:

“Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz: His body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as lamps of fire, and his arms and his feet like in colour to polished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.” (Daniel 10:5-6)

The voice of many waters (like “the voice of a multitude” shown above and in Revelations 1:15) represent people. People are referred to as being like “waters” in a number of places in scripture:

  • “He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters. He delivered me from my strong enemy, and from them which hated me: for they were too strong for me.” (Psalms 18:16-17)
  • “He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.” (Numbers 24:7)
  • “Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind.” (Isaiah 17:12-13)

People who speak the Word of God as true servants of Jesus Christ are also described in scripture as having “the voice of many waters”. These are people whom Jesus can depend upon to use as his mouth piece to speak the truth about him and his Word.

  • “The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty” (Psalms 29:3-4)
  • “And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.” (Ezekiel 43:2)
  • “And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:” (Revelations 14:2)
  • “And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.” (Revelations 19:6)

This is the reason that Jesus described some of his Apostles as the “the sons of thunder” (see Mark 3:17)

Truely, the oneness of the Church of God when worshiping, preaching, and glorifying Jesus Christ is: as the “voice of many waters”, as the “voice of mighty thunderings”, as the ‘voice of a great multitude”, as the “voice of the Lord… …full of majesty”!

“His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;” (Revelations 1:14)

“The hoary (white or gray) head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness.” (Proverbs 16:31) The white hair of Jesus here reflects the great honor that he deserves because of his perfect righteousness.

Jesus is the Lamb of GodJesus also is described in scripture as the lamb without blemish, white as wool, the perfect sacrifice. Jesus is the one that God the Father ordained before the foundation of the world to be the only sacrifice that would be accepted for the forgiveness of sins. Jesus’ sacrifice not only forgives and saves, but also has the power to change the very depths of the heart and soul to cause people to be able to live holy.

“But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.” (1 Peter 1:15-21)

“… and his eyes were as a flame of fire.”

Jesus has eyes that see through everything. Nothing is hid from him! “But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.” (John 2:24-25)

These eyes as a flame of fire, by the Spirit of God and Word of God, burn through everything to see to the depth of the intents of the heart of man: “…the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:” Eph 6:17

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” (Hebrews 4:12-13)

“The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” (Proverbs 15:3)

“And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.” (Hebrews 1:7)
