Jezebel’s Space of Time to Repent of Fornication is Over!

“And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.” (Revelation 2:21)

The “her” that Jesus gave “space to repent of fornication” was that false Christian spiritual condition (Jezebel). This Jezebel spirit claims to be married to Jesus (claims to be his church) but yet flirts and fornicates with evil and takes pleasure in mixing false doctrine with the pure teachings of Jesus. (See earlier posts of: “Should Jezebel Be Honored as a Queen and Prophetess?” and “Jezebel Kills True Prophets and Then Sets Up a False Communion“.)

Earlier in the Pergamos age, and now in Thyatira, a false church spirit has been noted as committing fornication with the Devil by mixing false teachings with the truth of God’s word. Yet they still claim to be married to Jesus! The reason for this: for selfish personal gain. This church condition is not faithful in their love for Christ. This is the spirit of a harlot. It is not the spirit of a pure, true to Jesus bride.

In Ephesians 5:22-33 we read and get clear understanding about how the true church of God is a pure and true bride of Christ:

“Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church: For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.”

What happens when people “leave their first love” (as mentioned in an earlier post “Have You Left Your First Love?” on Revelation 2:4)? They become spiritually impure as they flirt with sin and evil. False Christian (pagan like) practices eventually move in amongst those claiming to be the church.

In spite of all this, Jesus in his mercy has given people time to repent of playing church, and to return to him with all their heart. The Lord in the Old Testament also gave backslidden Israel and Judah the same opportunity to repent and return, but eventually the “space” of time to repent ran out:

“They say, If a man put away his wife, and she go from him, and become another man’s, shall he return unto her again? shall not that land be greatly polluted? but thou hast played the harlot with many lovers; yet return again to me, saith the LORD.” (Jeremiah 3:1)

But in Thyatira, divided and compromised Protestant sects in particular (and those in Catholicism) would not repent, but continued to “play around” with false teachings, and the purposes and kingdoms of men. Jesus indicates that her space of time for offered mercy has run out.

“And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.” (Revelation 2:21)

“Babylon is suddenly fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. We would have healed Babylon, but she is not healed: forsake her, and let us go every one into his own country: for her judgment reacheth unto heaven, and is lifted up even to the skies.” (Jeremiah 51:8-9)

“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double. How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.” (Revelation 18:1-7)

Next in Revelation 2:22 we shall see some of the judgment that is placed by Jesus upon those who continue to flirt and play around with spiritual Jezebel. The spirit of Jezebel is also spiritual Babylon, or Catholicism and divided Protestant sects together – for they all essentially have the same spirit guiding them. They like to claim to be married to Christ, but they live unfaithful to the marriage vow of obedience, purity, and faithfulness.

  1. Robert, there is hope if you will forsake your sins (quit them forever), and forsake any harlot (so called “Christian”) church you are part of. Sincerely ask Jesus to forgive you of both of these and he will. And then make and keep true to your vow to live faithful and obedient to Jesus.

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” ~ 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Although few, there are still some who live true and faithful to Jesus every day. You can find them if you sincerely ask and seek for them. God has ordained that the true and faithful gather together to worship and encourage one another.

    • I sent you an email because I have some question that must be asked in private & not on a place where every one can see them. Hope that`s ok. Sent it to you @

I’m a pastor of a church I preach what the Bible says I as a child of God refuse to preach anymore differently I refuse to go to hell because of being a false prophet I take Gods word for what it says and teach it that way I refuse to take away or add anything to the thing that so many do I’ll not have to give a account for what I said or what I believe because I believe it just like he said it the Lord has the final say and for many it’ll be too late every body ain’t my brother because many are the enemies of the cross and not even know it because they believe man not God

    • Lord bless you Robert to continue steadfast in the Word, and fully submitted to the Holy Spirit! Although they are few, there still are people like you that exist that are determined to be a true light in the middle of a very spiritually dark and religious world. Be encouraged! Lord bless!

  4. I’m a pastor of a Original Church Of God and for many they will say well that says it all that they believe that there the only ones that are going to make it that couldn’t be further from the truth that may be the name above the door but the truth is if the Lord called you he said he make witnesses of us all and the truth would set us free threw the shed blood of the Lamb of God .The Lord called me to spread the Gospel and this is one of the few churches that will allow me to preach the way the Bible says it without being put out of their church people don’t have to believe the word of God but if not there never going to heaven regardless of what some man says

    • So glad for your testimony of wanting to be the church by standing out completely for the full truth of the gospel! Yes it is hard to find people like this, but when you do, it is so refreshing to the heart and soul! This is one of the burdens the Lord has given me for publishing the true spiritual message of the Revelation. Because one of the designs of Revelation is to locate and bring together God’s true people, by the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, and of the sufferings for standing for the truth.
Are you in the USA, or another country? If you are in a country where it is not safe to say so, I don’t need to know where. May the Lord bless you and those you fellowship with!

  5. 6. Hello, Thank you for your time, I came across your blog post and thought that perhaps you could help me. I don’t know if anyone can help, but I feel like I am battling this alone and its hard. So long story short, for 13 years ago I was baptised but I am not sure I really got converted. I came to Christ with an idea that I wanted to be a Christian, I don’t know why exactly – I guess it seemed like a better life. But I had no real conviction of sin, just that I was going to do my best to start living a better life for Christ. So I cleaned up the easy stuff like swearing, drinking, etc – as long as it didn’t conflict with my hearts desire. But I was still a liar, fornicator, a cheater; among many other things. I guess I was never real convicted of those things. Fornication I always tried stopping but no matter how hard I tried I would still fall back into it. So after about 10 years I began to give up, figuring I was going to Hell and their was God would not help me. I was hanging on by a string. I wanted to be that super Christian, but my heart wasn’t there. Then 3 years ago at the end of the sermon, I felt real conviction over my sins. I came forward and repented and recommitted my life to Jesus. After that I felt like a million bucks, I no longer fornicated, I was convicted stop sinning and my heart fully went to Jesus. My love for Him grew. But then four months later I began to study Hebrews, and then it dawned on me that God doesn’t have to do anything. He does not have to forgive me. Now I have been faithful walking with the Lord for 3 years and truly love him with all my heart. But I feel in my spirit that he has forgiven me, but I can not shake this lingering doubt of “what if”. I was in very gross sin and did much evil in the sight of the Lord. I know it says if we confess he forgives. But there is also Proverbs 1:28 and Jeremiah 14:20 sound like there may be a time when it is too late. Is there any way for me to know with full assurance it wasn’t too late for me? I have been praying for the Baptism of the Holy Spirit for over two years, and sometimes it feels like God has abandoned me. But in my heart I know he loves me, but I struggle. I hope it is just the devil. But I just long to know with certainty that God loves me like I know love Him.

    • May the Lord bless you as you continue for him! For a certainty the Lord has saved you and still cares for you. Many scriptures support that fundamental truth. Do not let Satan lie to you. Now concerning the baptist of the Holy Spirit, allow the Lord and the scriptures to provide understanding. The witness of the Holy Ghost in your life is the holiness of God working through you. It does not require some outward show of some supernatural witness like speaking in an unknown tongue or falling on the floor. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are many more than that, and the scriptures clearly show that not everyone has the same gift. And the gift to speak the gospel in someone else’s language is just one of the gifts. Here is a short but very good scriptural based explanation of the Holy Ghost’s gifts, and the baptism of the Holy Sprit.
