Many are deceived by the fake spiritual “Bible” jewelry that unfaithful “Christian” professors put on the outside. This is what gives Babylon her power to allure, seduce, and deceive souls into becoming professing “Christians” who are actually unfaithful to Jesus in their heart.

“And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters: With whom the kings of the earth have committed fornication, and the inhabitants of the earth have been made drunk with the wine of her fornication. So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns. And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” ~ Revelation 17:1-5

The gold, precious stones, and pearls are the scriptures, praying, preaching, show-off works, etc. that so-called “Christians” and organizations will “put on” to make themselves look impressive to the people they are trying to deceive. While at the very same time there is hatred, lust, selfishness, deceit and pride working in many ways within their hearts and lives. Jesus describes this as actually being a spiritual whore! A person and church that is supposed to be married and completely faithful to Jesus, but instead they are flirting with the devil and spiritually fornicating with him by taking pleasure in his sinful temptations.

But Babylon’s fake spiritual beauty is very deceptive and alluring! So much so that even the Apostle John began to wonder at her.

“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns.” ~ Revelation 17:6-7

Sometimes even good faithful Christians need to be shaken and awakened to what is really in the hearts of hypocrites and so-called “Christian churches”. But to really see how evil this seducing woman is, you often need to be able to get a vision of what the true church, the true bride of Christ looks like. The scriptures show us that God’s church and people are pure and holy, having all been made clean on the inside and the outside; living without any sin of any kind!

“Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish… …This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.” ~ Ephesians 5:25-27 & 32

Yes, Jesus Christ’s true faithfulness is a great mystery to many because they themselves are not pure and faithful to Jesus and his Word. And that is why Babylon is so mysterious and deceptive to seduce and deceive them. Because their unfaithful heart is easily attracted and seduced by the mysterious and lustful selfishness of false Christianity.

Is this still a mystery to you? Are you deceived?

  1. God by His great love for mankind has delivered to us His Son, Jesus Christ, to reconcile the world to Himself. Christ in us, the Ekklesia, is the greatest mystery of God’s presence in our lives and in another sense of our presence around God’s throne in heaven. Shall we be so foolish as to abandon this truth, and instead be deceived by the opposite mystery of falsehood – Satan in the worldly city of Babylon?

Thanks for the message, brother Richard.
